WHAT IS JULY SURF CAMP SCHEDULE ?

WHAT IS THE PLAN ?
- 7 bed & breakfast nights in 4-person rooms or in a 2-person room (if you book as a couple) with the splendid panoramic view of the Reef House placed in the heart of Ericeira just in front of Matadouro Beach. Nutritious breakfasts, healthy, gluten-free, vegetarian, only local food, fruit, vegetables from bio-cultivation, no processed products by @OndadeNutricao
- 5 surfing lessons with @EriceiraSurfSchool 5 days per 3h practical classes (about 2h in the water) in the legendary Ribeira dβIlhas Beach with a daily transfers to the spot and full equipment including your go pro recordings taken for the video analysis workshops.
- 5 surf workshops along to Girl on the Wave Program (theoretical classes at home based on go pro recordings of students which are aimed at faster progress and fuller learning, supplementing the practice with theory, surf tutorials, forcast apps reading and many others. It is an important space for everyone to share experiences, motivation and to learn together !!! )
Surf workshops are the very meaningful part for Girl on the Wave Surf Camps. This year we plan to keep in the plan a local board shaperβs visit and a special surf functional training you can do after you come back home. The plan of the workout is coming !
- 3 yoga practices (on the beach or at home)
- 1 body & mind training (in terms of understanding your emotions, mastering meditation and relaxation techniques)
- 1 personal coaching (cultivating self-understanding and self-connection for embodied confidence and authentic living)
- 1 long walk along the coastline to have a big look over our main surfing spot
In the day-off surfing (we take a short rest to recover) the plan is:
- 1 beach volleyball training and tournament powered by @BeachVolleyEriceira
- 1 picnic on the beach
- 1 SUP lesson with @EriceiraSUP (facultative +30β¬)
- Girl on the Wave Music Live Party !!! starting at the sunset time
On the last day of our surf camp we recommend a special additional trip on electric bikes on the cliffs with @SeasideBikes.Eu or in the nearby forests ending up in the best vege gluten-free pizzeria in the open air !!! (the cost of 3 hours bike guided tour is +40β¬)
In the plan of every surf camp you will also find:
Shared dinners and events in the town of Maikai @MaikaiTheGoodFoodPlace (Surf58 / Billabong surf shop) Boardriders (Quicksilver / Roxy) Ourico (the cult local discotheque) and You & The Sea (open music parties !!!) and a special Girl On The Wave Live Music Party with DJ, concerts, local vibes, flying pizza and a ping pong tournament

Cabana do Ze
The local very cozy restaurant in the old town where all first dinners of our surf camps take place. We are always ready for great sea food and good Portuguese wine !
Girl on the Wave Reef House
The house is located in Moinhos do Mar condominium in front of Matadouro Beach. You can check the location on Google Maps https://g.page/r/CRCeAw4zU_9xEB0
The Reef House has 3 levels with 3 Quadruple Rooms and 1 Suite, 4 Bathrooms, 2 Kitchens, 1 Living Room, 3 Terraces and 1 Solarium) and offers a marvellous view over the Ocean.
Located in the middle between the town and Ribeira dβIlhas, next to the skate park, surf schools and surfing spots. Boardriders Quiksilver Club are 5 minutes walking from the House. 10 minutes walking distance from the old town and 10 minutes to the World Surfing Reserve.
HOW TO GET TO THE SURF SPOT?
There is the scheduled gathering at the Campo Grande bus station in Lisbon and the shared transfer to Ericeira Saturday 9 July (+6.5 EUR). For everyone who arrives a day or two days earlier the tip is to stay in the center of Lisbon and visit beautiful arounds. HOW TO BOOK A PLACE?
Bookings are open until the end of June or until there are places available !
To reserve a place an advance payment of 299 β¬ is required. The rest of the payment will be effectuated one month before the scheduled camp.
Part of the income from summer surf camps will be used to organise free surf lessons for Ukrainian kids of the refugess in Ericeira.

- Dinners but we have an open furnished kitchen in the Reef House we can use at any time. Ericeira is also rich in high quality restaurants and the the low cost tasty foodie.
- Health & Travel Insurance. We do only provide sport insurance in time of surf lessons.
- Flights. We do not take responsibility for flights cancellation. Please insurance your flight.
