GIRL ON THE WAVE SURF PROJECT IS BASED IN ERICEIRA ON THE ATLANTIC COAST OF PORTUGAL SINCE 2018. IT LAUNCHES SURF CAMPS IN THE SUMMER TIME IN ERICEIRA AND TRAVELS ALONG THE SEASONS TO DIVERSE SURF DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD. THE PROJECT IS FOUDED AND LEADED BY A POLISH SURFER MARGHERITA.

THE IDEA OF THE PROJECT IS TO CONNECT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SURF WITH THE BEST SURFING SPOTS. GIRL ON THE WAVE SURF PROJECT FOLLOWS SURFING DREAMS, SUPPORTS LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND HELPS THE SURF COMMUNITY GROW.

GIRL ON THE WAVE SURF PROJET IS DEDICATED MOSTLY TO BEGINNERS with a special program holistic surf experience including surf lessons, YOGA, BODY&MIND TECHNIQUES, PERSONAL COACHING, theory, supportive sport activities (LIke Beach volley, carvers or electric bikes) and video recordings and analysis.

WHAT IS THE COST AND THE PLAN?

The cost of the surf camp: 799 € (the same as in 2021 https://www.girlonthewave.com/summer-time-surf-project) and it includes:

- 7 bed & breakfast nights in 4-person rooms or in a 2-person room (if you book as a couple) with the splendid panoramic view of the Reef House placed in the heart of Ericeira just in front of Mataduoro Beach. Nutritious breakfasts, healthy, gluten-free, vegetarian, only local food, fruit, vegetables from bio-cultivation, no processed products by @OndadeNutricao)*

- 5 surfing lessons with @EriceiraSurfSchool (practical classes in the legendary Ribeira d’Ilhas beach with a daily transfers to the spot and full equipment including your go pro recordings taken for the video analysis workshops)

- 5 surf workshops according to Girl on the Wave Program (theoretical classes at home based on go pro recordings of students which are aimed at faster progress and fuller learning, supplementing the practice with theory, surf tutorials, forcast apps reading and many others. It is an important space for everyone to share experiences, motivation and to learn together !!! )

Surf workshops are the very meaningful part for Girl on the Wave Surf Camps. This year we plan to extend them by local board shaper’s visit and special surf functional training you can do after come back at home. It’s coming !!!

- 3 yoga practices (on the beach or at home)

- 1 body & mind training (in terms of understanding your emotions, mastering meditation and relaxation techniques)

- 1 personal coaching (cultivating self-understanding and self-connection for embodied confidence and authentic living)

- 1 long walk along the coastline to have a big look over our main surfing spot

In the day-off surfing (we take a short rest to recover) we have in plan instead:

- 1 beach volleyball training and tournament powered by @BeachVolleyEriceira

- 1 picnic on the beach

- 1 SUP lesson with @EriceiraSUP (facultative +30€)

- Girl on the Wave Music Live Party !!! starting at the sunset time

On the last day of our surf camp we recommend a special additional trip on electric bikes on the cliffs with @SeasideBikes.Eu or in the nearby forests ending up in the best vege gluten-free pizzeria in the open air !!! (the cost of 3 hours bike rental with the guide is +40€)

Shared dinners and events in the town of Maikai @MaikaiTheGoodFoodPlace (Surf58 / Billabong surfshop) Boardriders (Quicksilver / Roxy) Ourico (the cult local discotheque) and You & The Sea (open music parties !!!) and a special Girl On The Wave Live Music Party with DJ, concerts, local vibes, flying pizza and a ping pong tournament
