What is the place where we go ?
Dominical is a small surfing village on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the south direction from San Jose. Dominical has an amazing beach break about 4 km long (mostly lefts). Itβs not crowded, not expensive and very local with a cool surf base and an amazing surfing vibe.
How is surfing ?
Playa Dominical is one of the best surf spots in the world! It boasts consistent waves 95% of the year, with waves no smaller than waist high. Beautiful sandbars shape the waves like if it was a point break. Playa Dominical is known worldwide for its powerful waves. And in the bigger days there is also her little sister Playa Dominicalito more covered from the swell. Water is warm, over 20 C. And there is almost no wind. Mornings and sunsets in the water are like a blast.

Girl on the Wave surf workshops program with video analysis
Go pro video recordings are very important part of each Girl on the Wave surf camp. They help to notice mistakes better and process the change. In the effect to progress faster and in more effective way.
Sharing time with other students as much as with more experienced surfers is the best way to build up surf identity. Surfing is an individual sport and it requires a lot of personal effort but being in the group gives an extra strength. Ocean never stops giving lessons but we can learn a lot from each other.
All Girl on the Wave surf camps surf provide surf workshops based on go pro video recordings but also surf tutorials, theory and more supportive elements shared and experienced in the group.
About me
My name is Margherita. I am a Polish surfer, digital nomad and surf entrepreneur. I live in Ericeira in Portugal. As a founder and the leader of Girl on the Wave surf project I share my surfing dream with people from all over the world. I have been to Costa Rica twice. As a single traveler and then with a group of 16 people running a surf camp there in February 2020. It was my best experiences in life. Because of the lockdown I got stuck in Costa Rica for over 6 months and I came back to Portugal in June 2022 so feel free to ask me any type of question. I can tell you a lot about the place. Not only about the Pacific side.

The first part of the payment 499 EUR is required to book a place. Deadline for the rest of the payment will be settled 1 month before your arrival.
